Terms of service

This is the agreement between your business and us for the email service. It is written to be read, not to be survived. If any part of it is unclear, ask us before you subscribe.

1.Who you are contracting with

The service is operated by [REGISTERED ENTITY NAME], a company registered in India at [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS], GSTIN [GSTIN], CIN [CIN]. In these terms "we" and "us" mean that company, and "you" means the business that holds the account.

The account holder must be a business or a person acting for one. The service is sold business to business and is not intended for personal use.

2.What the service does

We provide email on your own domain: mailboxes, webmail, IMAP and SMTP access, storage, and the administration screens used to manage them. We run the mail servers, publish the sending reputation records for your domain, and keep the service patched.

You provide the domain and control its DNS. Until the records we give you are published, mail cannot be delivered to your mailboxes. That part is genuinely outside our control, and we will show you exactly which record is missing.

3.Your account

  • One organisation account can hold several domains and many mailboxes. Every mailbox belongs to exactly one organisation.
  • The person who signs up becomes the owner. An organisation must always have at least one owner, so the last owner cannot be removed until another is appointed.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what your staff send. Keep passwords private and tell us at once if you think one has been taken.
  • Give us a working billing address and state. It sets the GST treatment on your invoices and we cannot correct an invoice that has already been issued.

4.The free trial

Each new domain gets a free trial of 30 days with one mailbox and 1 GB of storage. No card is needed to start it. The trial is once per domain, ever, and it does not restart if the domain is removed and added again.

Nothing is deleted the day a trial ends. For seven days after that, mail is still delivered and you can still read and export it, but sending is blocked. After that the mailboxes are suspended and incoming mail is refused, while your data stays intact and can still be exported. Around six months after the trial started, if nothing has been paid, the data is permanently deleted. Every one of those steps is emailed to you in advance.

5.Prices and GST invoices

Everything is priced and charged in Indian rupees. At the time of writing a mailbox is ₹10 per month and storage is ₹10 per GB per month. Paying for six months at a time takes 10% off, and twelve months takes 25% off. The prices in your account at checkout are the ones that apply.

  • GST is added at the rate in force, currently 18%. If your billing state is the same as ours you are charged CGST and SGST; if it is a different Indian state you are charged IGST.
  • A GST invoice is issued for every payment, with our GSTIN, your GSTIN if you have given us one, the place of supply and the SAC code. Invoices are numbered in an unbroken sequence per financial year.
  • Coupons reduce the taxable value and appear on the invoice. Account credit is money we already hold for you, so it is applied against the total after tax rather than as a discount.
  • If your price changes, existing subscriptions keep the price they were sold at. We will not move you to new pricing without telling you at least 30 days beforehand.

6.Paying, renewing and failed payments

Payments are taken through Razorpay. We never see or store your card number. A period is paid in advance and renews automatically for the same length until you cancel.

If a renewal payment fails we retry it and email you. Sending is blocked seven days after the first failure, though mail still arrives. Mailboxes are suspended after fourteen days. Around six weeks after that the data is archived and you are sent an export link, and it is deleted after the retention period in our privacy policy. One successful payment at any point before deletion restores the service in a single step.

7.Changing your plan during a period

You can add mailboxes or storage at any time. You pay only for the days left in the current period, at the same discount as your running subscription, plus GST. The full quantity is then charged at the next renewal.

Reducing mailboxes or storage during a period does not produce a refund for the part you have already paid for. It reduces what you are charged at the next renewal, and we show you that figure before you confirm.

8.Refunds and cancellation

You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal and the service runs to the end of the period you have paid for. The refund policy is set out in full on the refunds page, and it forms part of these terms.

9.Fair use and sending limits

  • Do not send unsolicited bulk email. This is a business mailbox service, not a marketing platform, and one sender damaging the sending reputation damages every customer on it.
  • There are daily sending limits per mailbox and per organisation, and a limit of 100 recipients on a single message. New domains have lower limits for their first week.
  • Do not use the service to break the law, to impersonate someone, to distribute malware, or to send anything you have been asked to stop sending.
  • We may suspend sending immediately if an account starts behaving like a compromised one. We will tell you what we saw and what it will take to lift it.

10.Your mail and your data

Your mail is yours. We hold it so we can deliver it to you. No member of our staff has permission to read the contents of a customer mailbox, and there is no screen or command in the product that would let them. What we hold, where it sits and how long we keep it is set out in the privacy policy.

You can export your mail at any time using standard IMAP, including while your account is in grace or suspended. We do not charge for leaving.

11.Availability and support

We aim for the service to be available at all times and we publish planned maintenance in advance. We do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee with service credits at this price. If a fault on our side stops you receiving mail for a sustained period, write to us and we will deal with it as described in the refunds policy.

Support is by email at [SUPPORT EMAIL], in English and Hindi, on working days.

12.Suspension, closure and what happens to your mail

We may suspend an account for non-payment, for a serious breach of the fair use rules, or if we are required to by law. Except where the law requires otherwise, we will tell you first and give you a way to fix it.

When an account closes, your data is kept for the retention window in the privacy policy, then permanently deleted. Deletion is real. It is not a flag on a row we keep forever. Billing records are the exception: invoices, payments and refunds are kept for seven years because tax law requires it.

13.Liability

We do not exclude liability for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud. Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost business or lost opportunity.

Email is not a guaranteed delivery mechanism and no provider can make it one. A receiving server that rejects or delays your mail is outside our control, though we will help you work out why.

14.Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at [CITY], [STATE] have exclusive jurisdiction. Before going to court, please write to [GRIEVANCE EMAIL] so we have a chance to sort it out. Our grievance officer is [GRIEVANCE OFFICER NAME], contactable at that address.

15.Changes to these terms

We will email account owners at least 30 days before a change that affects price, refunds or your rights takes effect. Smaller corrections are published here with a new date at the top. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you do not, cancel before it does and we will refund the unused part of a period that you paid for before the change was announced.
